Job Summary
Implement and supervise various recreational activities, including sports, crafts, games, and field trips, while leading sessions for children and enforcing safety rules. Monitor activity areas and equipment use, assist with gym operations, and help set up or put away sports materials. Collect monthly fees, maintain enrollment records, and respond to parent or community concerns by directing them to higher-level staff as necessary. Provide first aid, resolve conflicts among participants, and offer guidance to part-time staff and volunteers. Assist with attendance tracking, incident reports, and routine program documentation. Perform related duties as required, including facility upkeep and training new Recreation Leaders.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience in recreation programs or a childcare setting
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Possession of a valid California Driver License
- C.P.R. and First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain within six months of hire date
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
- Proof of legal right to work in the U.S.
- May be required to pass TB test depending on assignment
