Job Summary
Sports Sales Manager responsible for booking rooms for sports market guests. Essential duties include invoicing, contract drafting, and filing of financial documents; conducting site visits; coordinating with Guest Experience to ensure smooth check-in; meeting resort-wide room and revenue goals; regularly checking in with clients during the booking/contract stage; handling client requests or complaints; transitioning clients to other team members for services such as meeting space or catering; negotiating terms of contracts or other financial requirements with management approval; representing the organization at trade shows, events, and networking opportunities; collaborating with Sevierville Convention Center or nearby sports facilities as needed; coordinating with marketing to promote Sports offerings by season; identifying and developing relationships with local, regional, or national decision makers; maintaining a client-first mentality; and performing all other duties as assigned. Qualifications emphasize strong leadership, teamwork, negotiation and listening skills, independent work capability, knowledge of food and beverage menus, organizational skills, problem solving and staff training, ability to manage multiple duties, and familiarity with office equipment and company policies. Physical demands include typical office work with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; remote work is not indicated. Educational requirement is an AA or equivalent, Level 5 experience, and a Tennessee driver’s license with ability to obtain or maintain vehicle insurance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
