Job Summary
Conduct thorough biomechanical evaluations and movement assessments to identify functional deficits, then design progressive, evidence-based rehabilitation programs for athletes ranging from casual participants to elite competitors. Implement advanced return-to-play testing protocols and sport-specific training regimens while collaborating closely with athletic trainers, orthopedic doctors, and performance professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide education on injury prevention and recovery strategies to empower athletes to regain strength, mobility, and confidence. Work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in our outpatient clinic equipped with motion capture technology and force plates.
Required Qualifications
- A current and valid license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Nevada or eligibility to obtain licensure
- A strong enthusiasm for sports medicine, biomechanics, and evidence-based rehabilitation practices
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional performance training
- An effective communicator who prioritizes an athlete-first mindset and understands the emotional and physical demands of sports
- Familiarity with both rehabilitation and return-to-sport environments, showcasing adaptability and comprehensive knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification
- A background in athletic training or experience in collegiate/professional sports rehabilitation
- Hands-on experience utilizing advanced modalities such as blood flow restriction therapy, dry needling, and sport-tech tools like force plates and motion capture
