Job Summary
Sports & Recreation Officer at Newcastle University leading the safe and effective running of sport facilities, supervising activity areas and equipment, delivering gym inductions and tours, providing reception service, and ensuring safe operations across indoor/outdoor facilities within 07:00–22:00 (weekdays) and 09:00–21:00 (weekends) with a rotation pattern; requires customer-service orientation, knowledge of sports training principles, basic IT skills, and a First Aid qualification to be renewed every 3 years; contributes to maintaining clean, safe spaces and supports events and building checks while collaborating with the Sports Facilities team.
Required Qualifications
- Sport and recreation qualification to the equivalent of level 2 or relevant Fitness Instructor Qualification
