Job Summary
Conduct strength and conditioning support for the Kansas City Current's first and second teams, managing weight room operations, pre-training preparation, and recovery protocols. Assist in implementing athlete monitoring technologies including GPS systems and force plates while maintaining a professional training environment. Provide training session coverage and matchday support as needed, adhering to a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts. Report to the Director of Sports Performance under the direction of the Performance Staff.
Required Qualifications
- Regular attendance and adherence to scheduled working hours
- Flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- CPR and First Aid certification
- CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) or a similar qualification (i.e. CSCCa: SCCC, NASM: PES)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts) and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the venue for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors continuously for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
