Job Summary
Assist in providing clinical case coverage in the operating room, secure inventory for those cases, and consult the surgical team on Smith+Nephew instrumentation and implants. Collaborate with Sales Reps, hospital staff, administrators, and clinicians to develop an effective territory business plan that generates revenue and meets quota. Build positive relationships with surgeons and hospital staff to provide data-driven, trusted solutions while becoming a technical expert in Sports Medicine surgical procedures through structured trainings. Work untraditional hours to support the salesforce and customers, with a schedule involving 2-4 overnights monthly and infrequent national travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum (2) two years sales experience in medical device industry
- Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
- Must be able to travel within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month
- Must be able to travel infrequently nationally for events and conferences
- Must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with the requirements of healthcare facilities they support
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products
- Experience leading/mentoring team members and new sales representatives
