Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Sports Medical Surgical Associate in the San Jose, CA area to help plan, direct, and coordinate selling, marketing, and promotion of Stryker/biologic products to physicians. Responsibilities include educating doctors, nurses, and staff on product usage and maintenance, tailoring promotional messages after product training, assisting with product evaluations in OR and office settings, supporting trade shows and clinical meetings, resolving customer product questions, managing product samples, and ensuring GMP/OSHA compliance. Requires 0-2 years outside sales experience (medical fields preferred), a BA/BS degree, field and in-house product training, ability to communicate with large groups, 20% overnight travel, and the ability to drive. Familiarity with computers and the ability to distinguish Stryker products from competitors is expected. Salary range: $55,000-$65,000 plus comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years outside sales experience (medical-related fields preferred)
- B.A. or B.S. degree required
- Field sales training and in-house product training completion
- Must be able to communicate with large groups and telephonically
- Ability to drive and travel up to 20% overnight
- Must understand product functionality and differentiate products from competitors
- Must adhere to GMP policies and FDA guidelines
- Medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds constantly
