Job Summary
A part-time Sports Instructor at the West Suburban YMCA leads and motivates students in sports classes (pickleball, basketball) for children and adults. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, ensuring safety and engagement, building relationships with students and parents, supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives, relaying program schedules, maintaining attendance and progress records, attending staff trainings, and supervising equipment. The role requires 18+, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, experience teaching multiple sports to youth, flexibility for afternoons and some weekend availability, strong professionalism, ability to relate to diverse groups, and commitment to anti-racist work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 18
- Certifications: CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid
- Experience playing and teaching multiple sports to children
