Job Summary
Plan and implement sports/specialty programs for youth and adults while teaching fundamentals tailored to each participant's age and skill level. Supervise groups to ensure health and safety, maintain a fair discipline code, and promote a positive environment. Coordinate culturally relevant activities, communicate with parents/guardians, and guide staff and volunteers. Manage equipment and gear, reporting issues to your supervisor. Assist with special events and activities. Complete all child abuse prevention training and reporting requirements. Work $17.05 per hour with flexible hours, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for continuous learning within the YMCA.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Must have prior experience sports/specialty experience (i.e. Playing, Coaching, etc.)
- Comfortable working with multiple age groups
- Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
- Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
- Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
- Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
