Job Summary
Coach sports programs using provided or self-designed curricula emphasizing skill development, sportsmanship, and the YMCA's core values. Maintain group focus, ensure age-appropriate play, and create a safe environment by reducing risks and enforcing guidelines. Prepare for each session by reviewing skills, setting up fields, and cleaning up afterward. Provide real-time feedback to players, offer positive encouragement, and serve as a role model for expected behavior. Communicate with parents regarding successes and challenges while keeping accurate attendance records. Adhere to all safety policies and attend required meetings and trainings. Engage with families, children, and staff to demonstrate leadership within the organization.
