Job Summary

Sports Education Curriculum Developer role focusing on research and development of TK–12 sports curriculum. Authors sequenced, standards-based lessons for various sports (e.g., soccer, lacrosse, tennis, golf, track & field, volleyball, cheer) to enhance sport-specific knowledge and tactical understanding. Responsibilities include authoring high-quality curricular components, designing lesson entries that engage most students, working independently and collaboratively, applying editorial guidelines, supporting peers through peer review, meeting deadlines within scope and sequence, and maintaining ongoing communication with product leaders and cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and address issues. Requires 3+ years in education or publishing with a track record in coaching or teaching sports in TK–12, strong writing and communication skills, ability to follow editorial guidelines, collaborative and proactive problem-solving mindset, and proficiency with technology such as InDesign, MS Office 365, and Google Suite. Target annual base pay range is $71,000–$80,000; benefits include health, dental/vision, disability and life insurance, 401k match, and PTO.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in education or publishing with a track record of success in coaching or teaching sports in the TK–12 education sector
  • Experience with and knowledge of students’ learning and development, such as through teaching or classroom experience, ELO-P implementation, or content development at another publisher or company
  • Clear and succinct writing skills, with the ability to produce content aligned to the organizational and product vision
  • Strong verbal and social communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, using a set of editorial guidelines
  • Ability to problem solve to create a high-quality product by established deadlines
  • Proficiency with technology and comfortable learning new applications (e.g., InDesign, MS Office 365, and Google Suite)
