Job Summary
P.E./Sports Coordinator will oversee athletic facilities, gym staff, participants, and equipment while leading sport-specific classes at the RTH Community Center. Responsible for safety, participation, skill development, inclusion, and fair play across programs; collaborates with the Director of P.E./Sports and Aquatics to develop innovative wellness initiatives. Manages administrative and program aspects including scheduling, field and facility coordination, training for parents and coaches, and producing team materials; supports summer camps, after-school and teen programs, tournaments, clinics, and resident outreach. Requires a Bachelor's in physical education, sports management, or related field (preferred), plus CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days. Strong motivation, professionalism, and the ability to work independently with diverse populations are essential; additional skills in data management, budgeting, and community partnerships are valued. This temporary seasonal role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and physical activity with residents and participants.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a sports setting
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or acquired within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of sports rules and ability to demonstrate skills
- Bachelor's degree in physical education, sports management, or related field (preferred)
Desired Qualifications

- Certified Swim Instructor or experience teaching swimming (a plus)
