Job Summary
Officiate scheduled games and tournaments while enforcing rules, managing pace for safety and competitiveness, and communicating clearly with coaches, players, and officials. Maintain a professional demeanor, keep accurate records of scores, fouls, and participation, and attend required training sessions and certification courses. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager. This role requires availability for evenings and weekends, with a salary of $20 per hour. Previous experience as a soccer referee and certification through a governing body are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of soccer rules and regulations
- Understanding of game management and conflict resolution
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Ability to make confident and impartial decisions under pressure
- Attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods of time
- Ability to see and hear clearly to make accurate calls
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a soccer referee preferred
- Certification as a referee through U.S. Soccer or other governing body preferred
