Job Summary
Sporting Goods Team Member provides friendly, Best in Class customer service, engages customers on outdoor sports (hunting/fishing), builds rapport to increase sales, maintains in-store presentation (endcaps, displays, price changes), assists with cash register operations, and supports merchandising resets and freight flow. The role includes promoting loyalty programs, handling everyday sales floor duties, and complying with firearms sales requirements where applicable. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; high school diploma or GED preferred; physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders; prior retail experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required
- Team Members who handle or sell firearms must be 18 years of age or older, pass a background check, and comply with firearm safety laws
- Previous retail or related experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and climb ladders is required
