Job Summary
Sporting Goods Team Member provides a positive and efficient customer experience by engaging customers, building rapport, and offering product recommendations to drive sales. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining endcaps and stock, executing price changes, performing nightly floor recovery (fronting, facing, sweeping, cleaning), assisting with cash register operations, supporting merchandising resets and displays, coordinating freight flow, and promoting Fleet Farm loyalty programs and other company initiatives. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or GED (preferred), ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior retail experience (preferred). Firearms-handling eligibility includes being 18+, background check, firearms safety training, and compliance with all laws and regulations. Equal opportunity employer statement included.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Team Members who handle or sell firearms must be 18 years of age or older, be able to possess a firearm under the Gun Control Act 18 USC 922(g), pass a background check, be trained on firearms sales and safety, and must comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws and regulations with respect to the sale, storage, and safe handling of firearms.
- Previous retail or related experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and climb ladders is required.
