Job Summary
Greet customers immediately, determine their needs, and handle all transactions professionally while recommending products based on features and benefits. Maximize sales and customer satisfaction by adding items to the close of the sale and buying used sporting goods to reinforce purchases. Price and ticket items according to guidelines, restock following the merchandising plan, and maintain displays and housekeeping standards. Develop proficiency in operating the Point of Sale and sales tracking systems. Requires ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours daily and lift up to 40 lbs. Flexible hours available with starting pay up to $15 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day
- Lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance
- Bending, rotating, and reaching customary to a sporting goods retail environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior sporting goods retail experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to work well as a team member, accept constructive feedback, and follow directions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
