Sport Program Coordinator | USA Pavilion, Expo 2027 Belgrade

Job Summary
Coordinate the scheduling and daily delivery of all sport, play, wellness, and recreational programming at the USA Pavilion, including staff activities, school engagement sessions, public participation programs, and special events. Manage daily operations of Run Club, Yoga, HIIT sessions, tournaments, and demonstrations while overseeing the setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment and activity spaces. Liaise with Expo 2027 teams, U.S. sports organizations, and sponsors to coordinate cross-pavilion activations and shared-use spaces. Supervise Sport Facilitators and volunteers to ensure safe, consistent activity delivery in alignment with the "Play for Humanity" theme. Manage participant logistics, including registrations, waivers, and transportation for visiting athletes and speakers. Work closely with operations, guest experience, and media teams to ensure smooth delivery of sport activities during the Expo, which runs from May 15 to August 15, 2027.
Required Qualifications
- English Speaking (C1 or Native)
- Experience implementing and coordinating sport, recreation, wellness, youth or community engagement programs
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing operations, planning for changing situations, training teams, and fostering accountability and ownership among staff
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability motivate and collaborate with people from varied backgrounds and experiences while maintaining a calm, positive and professional approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with emotional intelligence and cultural awareness across different audiences and environments
- Flexible, adaptable, and open to feedback in a fast-paced and evolving project environment
- Resourceful, proactive, and solution-oriented, with the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively
- Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, honesty, and respect at all times
- Serbian Speaking (Not Required but viewed favorably)
Desired Qualifications
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus
- Previous Expo or Exhibition/Experiential Build or Volunteering Experience
- Camp councelor, Recreational coordinator, sports coach or other similar experiences
