Job Summary
Sport Coordinator Volleyball at i9 Sports focuses on enhancing the youth sports experience by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches, delivering instructional aspects of the program, and supervising game-day operations. Responsibilities include empowering volunteer coaches to lead practices emphasizing fundamentals, skill development, and fun; teaching core concepts including sportsmanship; overseeing the designated sport on game day; and maintaining a positive, customer-service oriented mindset. The role involves hands-on involvement with practices and games across age groups, with weekend and some evening hours required for the season, and requires the ability to observe, assess, and assist coaches to ensure safety and quality of the program.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
