Job Summary
The Sports Coordinator will enhance the i9 Sports experience for players and coaches, building relationships with players, parents, and coaches while ensuring instructional aspects are delivered. Responsibilities include empowering volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun; teaching core concepts including sportsmanship; supervising game-day operations for the designated sport; and maintaining a positive attitude with strong customer-service skills. Must observe, assess, and assist coaches across age groups and skill levels, with hands-on involvement in practices and games, and the ability to manage safety concerns. Requires ability to work weekends/evenings and pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
