Job Summary
The Sports Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the i9 Sports experience for players and coaches, building relationships with players, parents, and coaches, and ensuring the instructional aspects of the program are delivered. Responsibilities include empowering volunteer coaches to lead practices focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun; teaching and demonstrating core sportsmanship concepts; supervising the overall operation of designated sport on game day; maintaining a positive attitude and superior customer service; and ensuring safety of players across practices and games for all age groups and skill levels, with a schedule that includes weekends and some evenings for the season (~7 weeks).
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
- Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
