Job Summary
The Sports Coordinator enhances the i9 Sports Experience for players and coaches by building relationships with players, parents, and coaches, delivering instructional segments, and supervising the designated sport on game day. Responsibilities include empowering volunteer coaches to lead practice sessions focused on fundamentals, skill development, and fun; teaching core concepts and sportsmanship values; supervising game-day operations; and maintaining a positive attitude and superior customer service. The role involves hands-on involvement with practices and games across age groups and skill levels, requiring the ability to manage safety, observe and assess coaching, and support coaches throughout the season (approx. 7 weeks) while requiring weekend and some evening availability and the ability to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and a strong ability to build professional relationships
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
