Job Summary
Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data platforms and pipelines, ensuring pristine, harmonized data for decision-makers. Responsibilities include crafting data transformations, cleansing, normalizing, and transforming raw data into final datasets; ensuring data solutions align with business/technical requirements; lifecycle management to keep data fresh and impactful; strong emphasis on data mining, ETL processes, and data storage, with experience in tools like Glue, Databricks, Synapse, or Dataproc. Preferred certifications and cloud-platform expertise (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and a degree in a scientific discipline. The role emphasizes data quality, scalable data pipelines, and collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology)
- Experience with ETL, data pipelines, and multiple data storage technologies
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DB2, MongoDB)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
- Experience with cloud platforms and data engineering tools is a plus
