Job Summary
Splunk Developer responsible for building on top of the organization and customer infrastructure with Splunk, designing and maintaining production-quality dashboards, troubleshooting Splunk server/forwarder issues, and monitoring capacity and efficiency. Must collaborate with engineers to ensure Splunk runs actively on current infrastructure, communicate effectively across an enterprise, and thrive in a fast-paced setting. Key skills include JavaScript/Python/Perl/Groovy/Ruby for Splunk UI/GUI development, creating customized Splunk applications and dashboards, and leveraging data analytics tools (Hadoop, MapReduce, R, visualization) to support analytics needs.
Required Qualifications
- JavaScript / Python /Perl/ Groovy / Ruby, Splunk UI/GUI development
- Experience with Splunk UI/GUI development and operations roles
- Expertise in creating and customizing Splunk applications, searches and dashboards
- Experience working with team members in multiple site locations
- Broad experience from either a development or operations perspective
- Experience in data analytics, Hadoop, MapReduce, R, visualization is a plus
- Experience in a software engineering environment is a plus
- Strong communication skills and customer interfacing
