Job Summary

Deploy, manage, and optimize Splunk infrastructure while ingesting and normalizing operational data from servers, applications, and security sources. Proactively monitor environmental health, tune Search Processing Language (SPL) queries, and design dashboards to power IT enterprise applications and observability practices. Respond to critical system outages by triaging incidents, debugging performance bottlenecks, and coordinating resolution across infrastructure and software engineering teams. Serve as a subject matter expert for the Splunk platform, ensuring reliable service delivery and adherence to ITIL-centric release and change management standards. Support a 24x7 production environment with on-call rotation, providing detailed analysis and preventive improvements to maintain system availability and security.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience
  • 5-7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Java Enterprise Edition and .NET frameworks
  • Standard java/.NET tools to debug application and system performance issues
  • Tuning application serving environments
  • Software release management and the SDLC
  • Redhat Linux and Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Security best practices for multi-tiered operating systems as well as application security practices
  • Disaster recovery experience
  • Solid oral and written communication
  • Project management
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Must possess
  • 100% on-site
  • Three days a week in the office
  • Up to two days remote
  • Hybrid teams coordinate on-site days to collaborate in-person
  • Up to 100% remote
  • Select individual contributor roles may be given the option to work fully remote
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations
  • BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties

  • Application Performance Management, such as Application Dynamics, Splunk and/or SNMP monitoring tools
  • IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM)
  • IBM/Apache HTTP Server
  • IBM Secure Directory Server
  • Scripting skills for automating tasks
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, Python, Jenkins, Git/Gitflow, Ansible, Quay and Artifactory
  • Managing IBM AIX, Redhat, Linux and/or Microsoft Windows Servers
  • Process development

  • Implementation of systems architecture
