Job Summary
Evaluate pre-operative and post-operative spine surgery patients in the clinic and hospital, and first assist in the operating room alongside a team of five surgeons and ten APPs. Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under physician supervision, including obtaining patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures, and documenting treatment management. Offer counseling and education on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources, while performing screenings, immunizations, and care assessments. This full-time role includes a Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule with a 1/8 weekend call requirement and call pay. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
- RNFA required for all NP applicants.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- Advanced Life Support preferred.
- Acute Care Certification preferred.
