Job Summary
UPMC Hamot seeks a spine-focused neurosurgeon for a high-volume, spine-dominant practice (80-90% spine, 10-20% cranial) in Erie, PA. The role offers a balanced schedule within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, extensive multidisciplinary collaboration with neurointerventionalists and APPs, dedicated OR block time, integrated Epic EMR, relocation benefits, a $50K sign-on, CME support, PSLF eligibility, and visa sponsorship options (J-1 waiver and H-1B). The successful candidate will perform complex spine cases, contribute to conferences and quality initiatives, and provide patient-centered care within the UPMC Neurosciences Institute framework.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Fellowship training is not required; however Accredited Spine Neurosurgery Fellowship completion is a plus
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
