Job Summary
UPMC Hamot is recruiting a spine-focused neurosurgeon to join a high-volume, multidisciplinary Neurosciences Institute within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The role involves approximately 80-90% spine and 10-20% cranial cases, a balanced schedule with dedicated OR time, collaboration with neurohospitalists, neuroradiology, and experienced APPs, and active participation in conferences, quality initiatives, and teaching. The position offers enhanced compensation with incentives, relocation benefits, PSLF eligibility, CME support, and an employer-paid malpractice program.Located in Erie, PA, the role integrates with the broader UPMC system to provide comprehensive care and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and necessary credentials
- DEA certification
