Job Summary
Spine-focused neurosurgery position at a high-volume Level II Trauma Center with ~80% spine and ~20% cranial cases. Join a regional Neurosciences Institute and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex spine pathology, neurotrauma, brain tumors, and cerebrovascular disease. Role includes dedicated OR block time, teaching and conference participation, and access to Epic EMR within a large health system. Requires MD/DO and an accredited neurosurgery residency; spine fellowship is a plus but not required. Board eligibility or certification in neurological surgery, PA medical license eligibility, and DEA certification are required. Compensation includes productivity incentives, CME support, relocation assistance, PSLF eligibility, and malpractice insurance; includes a $50,000 sign-on bonus and other benefits. PSLF eligible and relocation benefits available; Erie, PA offers regional amenities and access to major cities. Relocation and sponsorship considerations include acceptance of J1 Waiver and H-1B candidates.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
- Relocation benefits and PSLF eligibility mentioned in compensation package (contextual)
