Job Summary
UPMC Hamot seeks a spine-focused neurosurgeon for a high-volume, full-time position at a Level II Trauma Center. The role entails ~80-90% spine and ~10-20% cranial case mix, with a collaborative multidisciplinary team and dedicated OR block time. End-to-end support includes APPs, fully integrated Epic EMR, and opportunities for teaching and participation in quality initiatives. Enhanced compensation includes a $50K sign-on, CME stipend, relocation assistance, PSLF-eligibility, and comprehensive benefits; fellowship training is a plus but not required. Immigration options include J1 waiver and H-1B candidacy considered for 2027 and beyond. The successful candidate must be able to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA certification.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- DEA certification
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
