Job Summary
UPMC Hamot is seeking a spine-focused neurosurgeon for a high-volume practice (approximately 80% spine, 20% cranial) at a Level II Trauma Center with robust multidisciplinary support. The role offers dedicated OR block time, opportunities for teaching and quality initiatives, integration within a comprehensive neuroscience institute, and access to Epic EMR. The position includes an enhanced compensation package with incentives, relocation assistance, CME stipend, PSLF eligibility, and physician-benefit programs. Immigration options include J1 waiver and H-1B candidates for 2027 and beyond; sign-on bonus of $50,000 and additional relocation benefits are available.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
