Job Summary
UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA seeks a Spine-Focused Neurosurgeon to join a regionally premier Neurosciences Institute. The role is a high-volume spine practice (~80% spine, ~20% cranial) within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, offering a balanced schedule, dedicated OR block time, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Enjoy robust clinical volume, full Epic EMR integration, and access to extensive system resources. Qualifications include MD/DO, completed accredited neurosurgery residency, board eligibility/certification, PA medical license eligibility, and DEA certification. Fellowship in spine neurosurgery is a plus. Relocation and enhanced compensation incentives available; PSLF eligible; immigration options include J1 waiver and H-1B candidates for 2027+. Relocation assistance is offered. Location in Erie, PA with the UPMC Hamot system’s support and a strong professional network for physician growth and quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- DEA certification
