Job Summary
UPMC Hamot seeks a spine-focused neurosurgeon for a high-volume practice (approximately 80% spine and 20% cranial) at a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The role offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment with dedicated OR block time, and exposure to complex spine pathology and neurovascular cases. Benefits include an enhanced compensation package with a $50,000 sign-on bonus, CME stipend and days, relocation benefit, PSLF eligibility, and employer-paid malpractice coverage. Immigration options include J1 waiver and H-1B candidates for 2027 and beyond. The successful candidate will hold an MD/DO, complete an accredited neurosurgery residency, be Board Eligible or Board Certified by the ABNS, possess DEA certification, and be able to obtain PA medical licensure and credentials.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Accredited Neurosurgery Residency Program completion
- Board Eligible or Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
- DEA certification
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and ability to obtain necessary credentials
