Job Summary
Provide direct speech, language, and swallowing evaluations, including assessments of prior and current functioning, goal setting, and discharge recommendations. Deliver direct SLP treatments, patient and family education, and therapeutic interventions while utilizing appropriate documentation forms. Coordinate treatment schedules, maintain department equipment, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team for effective discharge planning. Maintain CEUs per state requirements and adhere to Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations. Requires a Speech-Language Pathology degree, DC licensure, and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SP-L - Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the District of Columbia
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years related clinical practice experience in an acute care or rehabilitation facility preferred
