Job Summary
Conduct live and post-hearing Speech-to-Text editing for court hearings, arbitrations, and legal meetings while maintaining high accuracy and turnaround times. Review client documentation to prepare custom glossaries and monitor audio quality during virtual hearings to resolve technical issues. Edit live or post-hearing output using the Opus 2 Speech-to-Text Editing Suite, collaborating via Slack to ensure consistency across transcripts. Complete comprehensive training in editorial and technical aspects of the role, including virtual hearing attendance to familiarize yourself with legal jargon and court procedures. Maintain focus during prolonged editing sessions and deliver high-quality transcripts under tight deadlines, progressing to team leadership responsibilities as skills develop.

- Ability to maintain focus during prolonged periods of editing
- Extremely high standard of Written & Spoken English
- The ability to proofread
- Proficient in researching
- High attention to detail
- Communication and interaction productively with colleagues and clients
- Confident with the use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Outlook
- Effective communication, written and oral, of any technical issues to the office
- Typing speed of 50wpm min (from audio)
- Previous transcription, editing or proofreading experience
Desired Qualifications
- A background in editing and/or proofreading
- A degree
- Equivalent practical experience to a degree
