Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient care needs for speech and language disorders, functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments. Develop therapy plans of care, perform interventions to improve patient well-being, and monitor progress. Provide services within state laws, coordinate with the health care team, and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy participation. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising nurses or physicians. Requires state licensure, CPR certification, and reliable transportation. Salary ranges from $70,992 to $106,488 annually.
