Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient care needs for speech and language disorders, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to determine treatment plans. Perform interventions aimed at improving patient well-being and communicate effectively using acceptable standards of practice. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising nurses or physicians. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other health care team members on participating in speech therapy. Maintain licensure in the state of residence, hold current CPR certification, and possess a dependable vehicle or public transportation access. Salary ranges from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment.
