Job Summary
Assess and evaluate patient care needs for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to determine treatment plans. Perform interventions to improve patient well-being and communicate effectively using acceptable standards of practice. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising nurses or physicians. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the health care team on participating in therapy. Provide services within state laws and coordinate with the health care team. Requires state licensure, CPR certification, and a dependable vehicle. Salary ranges from $70,992 to $106,488 annually.
