Job Summary
Speech Therapist will provide ongoing therapy to clients in a home health setting per physician orders; evaluate and treat clients, develop and obtain approval for treatment plans, communicate progress with families and health team, and maintain appropriate documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians and the health team, ensuring compliance with Speech Language Pathology Practice Act, and supporting geriatric rehabilitation. Requires Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, CCC or equivalent, active state license (or supervisory-eligibility), and association membership; prior experience with adults/children with neurological-origin disorders is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Speech Pathology, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or the equivalent of minimum of one-year experience working with adults/children with disorders of neurological origin, including language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, swallowing
- Valid license in Speech Pathology in the state (where applicable) or actively accumulating the supervisory experience required for license
- Registration with the Department of Health or eligible
- Recommended Member of Speech Language Hearing Association
- Interested in geriatric rehabilitation
