Job Summary
Assess patient care needs for speech and language disorders, functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, and develop therapy plans based on diagnostic and prognostic functional ability tests. Treat patients to communicate effectively using acceptable standards of practice, then observe, record, and report responses to treatment and condition changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other health care team members on areas where they can participate in speech therapy services. Requires state licensure in Speech Therapy, current CPR certification, and a dependable vehicle. Salary ranges from $70,992 to $106,488 annually for full-time employment.
