Job Summary
Assess patient care needs related to speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments to determine treatment plans and perform interventions that enhance well-being. Evaluate functional ability using diagnostic tests, treat patients to communicate effectively, and instruct families and caregivers on therapy participation. Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to supervising nurses or physicians. Maintain coordination with the health care team and adhere to state laws governing speech therapy practice.
