Job Summary
Interpret, plan, and execute speech therapy treatment programs based on physician referrals for adults and children in the Panorama City home health setting. Assess patient needs for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, then monitor progress and record detailed visit notes in medical records. Instruct patients and families on therapy procedures while reviewing treatment responses to recommend adjustments or discontinuation to the physician. Maintain independence by managing your own schedule and expenses as an independent contractor, supported by administrative resources for care coordination and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
- Speech Therapist license and registration by the state
- Completion of an accredited Speech Therapist program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (in speech pathology or audiology) granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
