Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients across inpatient, outpatient, long term care, community-based care and home health settings for the rehabilitation of speech, language, communication, cognition, hearing and dysphasia disorders. Requires knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan; oversees a comprehensive rehabilitation program to meet patients’ physical, psychosocial, cognitive and environmental well-being; promotes patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resources; coordinates with multiple disciplines; coordinates discharge goals; acts as a patient advocate. Settings include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, community-based care and home health care; detailed knowledge of speech and language pathology and interpretation of data; understanding of setting-specific rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligible
- 1-3 years experience or Clinical Fellowship eligible
