Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients with a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and dysphagia disorders. Oversees a comprehensive rehabilitation program addressing physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and environmental well-being; promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by leveraging outside resources; coordinates with multidisciplinary care teams; supports discharge planning goals; serves as a patient advocate. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, community-based care, and home health care. Requires detailed knowledge of speech and language pathology, development across the lifespan, and interpretation of data. Familiar with applicable rules and regulations of the setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
- One to three years experience or Clinical Fellowship eligible
