Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of speech, language, communication, cognition, hearing and dysphasia disorders. Oversees and insures a comprehensive rehabilitation program designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, cognitive and immediate environmental well-being of the patient. Coordinates and communicates with various disciplines or services involved in patient care; coordinates efforts toward discharge goals; patient advocate. Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long term care, community based care and home health care. Requires detailed knowledge of speech and language pathology and understanding of growth and development across the lifespan. Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology and CCC eligibility are required.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility
- Experience 1-3 years or Clinical Fellowship eligible
