Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients with a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and dysphagia disorders; Oversees a comprehensive rehabilitation program to meet patients’ physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and environmental needs; promotes patient/caregiver self-determination by optimizing outside resources to achieve independence; coordinates and communicates with multiple disciplines involved in patient care and assists with discharge goals; acts as a patient advocate; settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care and home health care; requires deep knowledge of speech-language pathology and understanding of growth and development across the lifespan; ensures understanding of applicable rules and regulations governing the setting.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility
- One to three years experience or Clinical Fellowship eligible
