Job Summary
Provide ongoing therapy to clients in a timely manner per physician's orders and evaluate clients to formulate effective treatment plans. Initiate ordered treatments, communicate progress with families, physicians, and other health team members, and maintain proper documentation according to state, federal, and third-party payor regulations. Comply with the Speech Language Pathology Practice Act and perform other duties as directed by the Director of Clinical Services. Schedule is PRN.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree in Speech Pathology, with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or the equivalent of minimum of one-year experience working with adults/children with disorders of neurological origin, including language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, swallowing
- The candidate must also have the ability to function independently within the department
- Valid license in Speech Pathology in the state (where applicable) or actively accumulating the supervisory experience required for license
- Registration with the Department of Health or eligible
- Speech Therapist
Desired Qualifications
- Recommended Member of Speech Language Hearing Association
- Recommended Member of Speech Hearing Association
- Interested in geriatric rehabilitation
- 1 year(s): Experience working with adults/children with disorders of neurological origin, including language comprehension, expression, cognition, articulation, voice, fluency, swallowing
- Masters or better in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
