Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments using standardized tests to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Design and implement personalized treatment plans addressing aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia, and dysphagia while monitoring progress and adjusting interventions based on patient feedback. Provide therapeutic exercises, cognitive-linguistic retraining, and oral-motor training to improve communication abilities and swallowing safety. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe swallowing techniques, AAC devices, and home exercises. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) (CCC-SLP)
