Job Summary
Evaluate, treat, and implement therapy for patients with disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing, and other prescribed services. Assist in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department. Requires a master's degree in speech-language pathology, active state license, and CCC-SLP or SLP-CF credential. One year of hospital experience and current BLS certification are mandatory. Per diem day shifts at Olympia Fields Hospital offer competitive compensation starting around $47.08 with customizable benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master's degree in speech-language pathology
- Active license to practice speech language pathology in the state of anticipated employment, free of disciplinary action
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), free of disciplinary action
- Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow (SLP-CFs) to be considered on a case-by-case basis (provided proper supervision can be afforded to the CF)
- At least one year of experience in a hospital setting
- Current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current
