Job Summary
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join Presbyterian’s rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, communication, cognition, hearing, and dysphagia disorders using evidence-based therapies; applying growth and development principles across the lifespan; developing and overseeing comprehensive rehabilitation plans addressing physical, psychosocial, cognitive, and environmental needs; promoting caregiver independence by connecting patients with community resources; collaborating with physicians, nurses, OTs, PTs, and other healthcare professionals; aligning treatment with discharge goals and adjusting plans as episodes of care progress; serving as a patient advocate and ensuring compassionate, individualized support; performing additional duties to support patient outcomes and department operations. Requires a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and CCC eligibility, 1–3 years of experience, PRN (per diem) exposure, and is based in Newark, NJ. Shift: 10-hour days; location-based in-person role with onsite safety, benefits, and differentiation for nights/weekends; compensation range provided as hourly offers.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology and have or qualify to obtain a Certificate of Clinical Competence
- One to three years experience or Clinical Fellowship eligible
