Job Summary
Independently evaluate, diagnose, and provide evidence-based treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive-linguistic, voice, and swallowing disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional status, monitor progress, and document evaluation findings, sessions, and billing charges accurately. Participate in patient care staffings, team huddles, and conferences, while giving annual in-service training and supporting the clinical education program for students. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling at Mount Sinai Medical Center, South Florida's largest private independent not-for-profit hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Current Florida State SLP License
- CPR certification
- Graduate from Masters Degree Program from an accredited University in accordance with state licensing requirements
- Successful completion of Certificate of Clinical Competency
- A minimum of 12 months of clinical work experience
- Working towards approved project or at least 15 CEHs per year in specialty area
Desired Qualifications
- Adult population preferred
- Has taken or is willing to take postgraduate education and or clinical certifications
- ASHA Membership
